A: Our food is on par with most veterinarian diets. But a healthy dog or cat means less trips to the vet so long term it is actually cheaper to feed MFD food. Vet bills can run in the thousands and over time add up!

Q: I MAKE MY DOGS FOOD AT HOME ALREADY. HOW IS MFD FOOD DIFFERENT?

A: Our meals are nutritionally balanced by an Animal Nutritionist that formulated our meals for life feeding. If you’re cooking at home first let us say congratulations! We applaud you BUT your recipe may lack some essential elements.

We sell DIY home cooking recipe kits with all the essential vitamins & minerals to completely balance your dog or cats food. It’s super easy and you can rest assured that you’re not over feeding certain ingredients like protein or underserving some essential mineral or vitamins that both dogs and cats need to maintain a healthy long life.

Q: WHY NOT RAW INGREDIENTS?

A: Whether to feed raw or lightly cooked to a safe temperature is a personal decision. We prefer to lightly cook or steam our food to reserve all their natural benefits and not have to worry about bacteria building up in the feeding bowls or potentially getting salmonella from handling raw meet. I’m not sure I 100% trust the food distribution system in the world to keep food safe at -41 F.

But like I said, it’s a personal decision. We sell our vitamins and minerals in a DIY home cooking kit. So if you wanted to make our meals raw you could certainly do that in your home.

Either way – real human food is key to a healthy dog or cat.

Q: CAN YOUR FOOD HELP WITH MY DOGS ITCHY SKIN?

A: Yes, 100%! A healthy balanced real food diet can potentially eliminate allergies. Most dogs and cats aren’t allergic to a particular ingredient but far more likely they are allergic to the fillers, byproducts and high heat cooking process used to make kibble. They literally are dehydrated due to dry dog & cat food.

A: Yes, we have a chicken recipe for cats and carry Cat Sushi treats and of course you can always feed your cat our dehydrated chicken treats!

A: Currently we deliver locally or ship our frozen meals in the State of Florida.

A: Carbohydrates are not bad for dogs or cats if fed in their natural form. It’s when they’re overly processed as in kibble that it becomes a problem. Our recipes are formulated by an Animal Nutritionist – they’re completely balanced meals for lifetime feeding.

Carbs = energy = happy dog or cat!

Q: HOW MUCH DO I FEED MY DOG?

A: We have a feeding calculator on our site that you can use. We always suggest a slow transition from kibble to real food and adjust your recommended amount up/down depending on weight loss or gain. Essentially, it should be close to what you are feeding currently. You know your dog or cat best so we trust your judgment!
